Betsy Briggs Cathcart

As a beauty expert, Studio BBC Salon founder & owner, Betsy Briggs Cathcart’s work has been featured on a national level in magazine editorials, videos, commercials and advertising campaigns. Betsy brings over 20 years of experience and expertise to create an individualized style and overall image for her diverse clientele. Born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Betsy's interest in imaging was sparked at an early age.

After attending University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and Cosmetology school, Betsy's diverse background includes working in numerous areas of the talent industry, including stints as a talent agent, photographer representative., talent convention staff and a hair/make up artist. Throughout her career, Betsy has worked with some of the nation's top photographers, models and stylists such as the mother of rock and roll Bebe Buell, five-time VOGUE cover girl Emily Sandberg, new Chanel it-girl Binx and brand ambassador for Schwarzkopf Kim Vo. She has crafted images for Vogue.It (Italia), Nfocus, Nashville Scene, HER, Southern Weddings, Nashville Post and Mocha Magazine as well as promotional campaigns for a number of national companies such as Toyota and Budweiser. And also worked on the set as part of the crew for numerous video shoots, including Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood and the Mavericks.

Approaching a decade with Studio BBC, Betsy is happily married to Dan for 15 years and they have two girls. She also makes "giving back" to the community a priority for the Salon by supporting a number of local causes including Dolly Parton's "Imagination Library," YWCA, and working with cancer patients and those afflicted with alopecia.
